Real name, no gimmicks. Obie Trice is gearing up for a new EP after being featured on Eminem’s Shady XV album. And for the latest release, he takes on the Detroit Vs. Everybody track, but only the concept. Producer GenoXO sampled the theme song from The Walking Dead for the remake as Obie stands tall and represents Detroit on his own. Here’s what he had to say about the track:

I thought the original (Detroit vs Everybody) could have been better, I think Marshall did his thing of course the other rappers held steady. I believe the hook could have been stronger also the beat. I’m sure it will be a part two to kind of fix it or redeem the original. Other than that it had the forefront of Detroit hip-hop at this time and moment on there.
