The Glendale, CA Elks Lodge is investigating a shocking incident that went down in the club a week ago Monday, when a performer sang a song celebrating the death of Michael Brown for an audience that included a number of retired and current cops. The horrific lyrics of the hook were:

And he’s dead, dead Michael Brown, deadest man in the whole damn town. His whole life’s long gone, Deader than a roadkill dog…

Listening to the lyrics being sung in a country western twang is an outrage, and just pure mockery of the devastating event. The fact it was allowed with no interruption in front of an audience of police is appalling. The recent police murders in Brooklyn, and the killing of black male civilians, have caused police nationally; to almost give up on the very communities they have vowed to protect and serve.
