This past summer, Atlanta by way of California native iLoveMakonnen bursts onto the national spotlight after Drake laid a verse to his now smash hit “Club Goin Up On A Tuesday.” Since then, Makonnen has signed with Drizzy’s OVO Sound imprint and gained a Grammy nomination for said song. All seemed well in the world of Makonnen until today.
If you recall, back in 2013, a series of tweets were dug up from various artists before their fame and showed the slanderous things they had to say about their current rap pals. You can now add Makonnen to that list considering that some of his tweets from 3-4 years ago were brought to the surface. The “Tuesday” rapper expresses his thorough dislike for Drake, the man who took him from the traps of Atlanta to the national stage.
Though he cleaned things up years later, these old tweets do raise an eyebrow or two. Hopefully this doesn’t effect his current standing with Drizzy or his OVO comrades.
