It was all fun and games in Lob City last night
Lost in all the conversations about the very deep field of contenders that is the Western Conference are the Los Angeles Clippers, who are playing some of the best basketball they’ve played in the Doc Rivers–Chris Paul era and are just 1.5 games away from 2nd place in the Western Conference. Last night, they exhibited some of that stellar play at home in a laugher of a game agains the Brooklyn Nets, as Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan helped the Clips soar to a 39-point victory.
In the 4th quarter of the game, with his team up by 42 points and his night over by every stretch of the imagination, Blake Griffin decided to have a little fun. One of the team’s trainer’s came over to assist the All-Star forward as he rested his limbs, and Blake grabbed the trainer’s head, and pulled it sharply towards his crotch–the kind of joshing around you do with your friends in the locker room after gym in high school. Of course, it was a joke, but we’re not sure he knew it would be caught on the live television cameras.
We’re also sure had he known, he would’ve still done it. Never change, Blake.
