This video will probably make you shed a thug tear or two….

PnB Rock (Rakim Allen) is a 23 year old, unsigned, Independent, hip hop artist from Philadelphia, who has rapidly emerged onto the Rap Scene behind the success of his hit single, “My City Needs Something”, which was inspired by the increased amount of violence that took place in the city of Philly.  The record was released in the summer of 2014 and has been played on Radio Stations and national websites.  The Song reached New Heights when the video was featured on MTV Jams.

PNB Rock developed his passion for music while incarcerated at an upstate, Pennsylvania penitentiary, and during his incarceration, he was encouraged to continue making music once he was released from prison.  Rock was encouraged to pursue music in a more serious manner by his uncle, “Uncle Moe”, and once his uncle Moe passed, Rock used the pain as fire to ignite a work ethic that is solely responsible for his success thus far, in which he channeled over 1 Million YouTube views as well as over 1 Million sound cloud streams.  Rock also says he is motivated by the youth and he is overwhelmed with appreciation of how much the youth gravitated to his music.

He’s very happy that his music appeals to them as much as it does.  Stay tuned to everything involving Pnb Rock, because this won’t be the last you hear of him.
