When we all first heard of PRhyme from DJ Premier and Royce da 5’9″, we all expected classic beats with tough as nails rhymes. Fortunately, that’s exactly what we got. Fortunately, again, another Detroit emcee still holds the spirit of going in over someone else’s beats for pure sport. Clear Soul Forces emcee, Noveliss, chose four of Premier’s instrumentals from the album and gives us reason to believe that he’ll be capable of original projects of this magnitude like this in the future. The metaphors may not be as street oriented or graphic in imagery as Royce’s, but Noveliss’ imagery is nevertheless just as powerful and vivid (when’s the last time you heard a Midi-chlorian reference?)
