Gambino will be playing a stripper in the Magic Mike Sequel.
Donald Glover, better known as Childish Gambino, will be starring alongside Joe Manganiello, Channing Tatum and Jada Pinkett Smith. The sequel to the popular Magic Mike will reunite other members of the original cast as well including Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash, and Gabriel Iglesias. The sequel takes place three years after the original and finds Mike’s friends ready to call it quits. Before throwing in the towel for good, the gang decides to do a blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach taking them on a journey in which they hand with old friends and make new friends. Other members of the new cast include Amber Heard, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, Michael Strahan, Andie MacDowell and Elizabeth Banks. Directed by Gregory Jacobs, Magic Mike XXL will hit theaters July 1.
