Interesting news has been announced in the NBA free agency market today. The New York Knicks who have been facing much scrutiny and criticism and have decided to make a move and sign former Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez. The Knickerbockers have agreed to sign Lopez to a 4 year, $54 million dollar deal. With losing the pursuit of landing LaMarcus Aldridge, Greg Monroe and potentially DeAndre Jordan, the Knicks decided to reach out to Lopez who averaged 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Portland Trailblazers. Lopez can fill up the paint on the offensive and defensive side thanks to his length and tenacity. By Robin signing with the Knicks, this may spark a sibling rivalry as his twin brother Brook is the starting center for the Brooklyn Nets. Let’s hope and pray that Robin can live up to the potential Phil sees in him. Knick fans, be nice!
