This is a new week, and the first in which we don’t have anything new to report regarding Meek Mill and Drake‘s ongoing feud, which began on July 22nd when Meek blasted Drake on Twitter for allegedly accepting ghostwritten raps, and has thus far culminated with Meek’s ill-received response to two Drake diss tracks, which dropped late Thursday evening. Outside of the occasional subliminal, this back-and-forth appears to be done. For now.
Instead, today we have some throwback footage of Meek and Drake, having an interesting conversation backstage at Hot 93.7’s Jingle Jam in 2011. It appeared that Meek had just gotten off stage, and was having a conversation with Drake about Jadakiss being somewhat of a second father to him, which prompted Drake to point out that the tables had turned, and kids in Toronto were looking to Meek for similar inspiration.
