Drake unveiled the cover art to his forthcoming Views From the 6 LP over the weekend, stirring up a firestorm of memes, something that’s become customary with Drake releases of any kind over the last couple years. The artwork, which depicts a very tiny Drake perched atop the CN Tower, the highest point of the tallest structure and signature landmark of his hometown of Toronto, was shot by Canadian photographer Caitlin Cronenberg, but its validity was still called into question. Was Drake actually sitting on top of the CN Tower when Cronenberg took her mesmerizing stills, or was he Photoshopped onto it after the fact?
That question was answered by the verified Twitter account of the CN Tower itself: no, he was not. Whoever runs that Twitter account even threw in a nifty hashtag for those still in doubt. “#NotReallyThere.”
