Lil Durk’s liveliness is aligned with the drastic seasons celebrated in his hometown of Chicago. Durk dropped off the 300 Days, 300 Nights mixtape for a successful winter directly after dropping his debut album, Remember My Name, the previous summer. In the closing credits of his March video release “If I Could,” Durk promised a May 1 release date for his new forthcoming album, Lil Durk 2x. Being that we’re well into June, Durk took to Instagram yesterday [June 2] to let fans know the new June 24 release date for the sophomore album.

He also rewarded fans with the cover art for his new album which features his two sons, Angelo and Zayden. Lil Durk 2X is a 15-track project that features the pre-released single, “My Beyoncé,” featuring Dej Loaf. Future, Young Thug, Yo Gotti and Ty Dolla Sign are also featured throughout the project, making for an exciting compilation of music styles and a classic summer anthem album.
