Since it became public that Chris Brown‘s last mega hit, “Loyal,” was co-written by Ty Dolla $ign back in 2014, the L.A.-born singer, songwriter and producer has been an essential artist, contributing to seismic shifts in both the R&B and Hip Hop worlds.
Whether it’s being summoned to Mexico to work on Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo album–on which he was the only artist featured twice–hitting the studio with Puff Daddy and Nick Jonas, or dropping his own stellar LP, Free TC, $ign’s been everywhere, and he isn’t letting up.
Though he’s already revealed that a third installment to his critically-acclaimed Beach House mixtape series, Beach House 3, is in the works, Ty Dolla spoke with Hot 97’s Nessa Nitty to announce a pre-BH3 project, Campaign, that will be the “soundtrack for the summer of 2016.”
That project sounds as if it’s nearly complete. Ty pointed out the only thing impeding its release was the loss of his violinist to travel, so he’s been figuring out alternative solutions.
