DJ Drama is currently prepping his second LP, Quality Street Music 2, for a July 22 release, and now that the lead single has made significant rounds, Drama chose today to let us in on some heat that unfortunately didn’t make the album’s final cut.
Meek Mill, Ty Dolla $ign and Pusha T, three guys that know a thing or two (or three) about quality street tunes, join Drama on “Boys In the Hood,” which unfortunately didn’t make the QSM 2 tracklist because of Meek’s outstanding legal issues. (A Philadelphia judge ruled that until Meek was clear of his recent house arrest, he couldn’t record any music that would sold. Drama’s album is, of course, a retail project.) Ty Dolla handles hook duties while Meek and Pusha reflect on the treacherous days that preceded their lavish lifestyles. Listen below.
