Comedienne Leslie Jones Bravely Calls Out Racist Tweets

It seems like Ghostbusters actress Leslie Jones cannot catch a break on Twitter.

As you might remember, Jones previously expressed her feelings on the social media platform about not being able to find a designer to work with her body type for her Ghostbusters premiere.  The new problem that has occurred is uglier than being discriminated by a designer as it has to do with being discriminated for skin color.

Several racist remarks have found their way to Jones on Twitter, to the point that she decided to out the tweeters for their ignorant tweets. Fed up by their remarks, Jones stated, “… I feel like I’m in a personal hell. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. It’s just too much. It shouldn’t be like this. So hurt right now.”

In response to the immense amount of negativity Jones has experienced on the social platform, the hashtag ‘#LoveForLeslieJ’ has surfaced to support the actress. Such notable users of the hashtag include Ghostbusters co-writers Katie Dippold and Paul Fieg (who also directed the film).
