After teasing the project for a few weeks on Instagram, Drake finally released the Views-inspired short film titled Please Forgive Me four days before its initial release date (September 30).
Anthony Mandler served as the helmsman for the short film, who also worked with Drake on music videos like “Find Your Love” and “Over”, and Noah “40” Shabib scored the film. It took place in South Africa and co-starred Belgian model Fanny Neguesha, dancehall artist Popcaan, and UK singer Kyla Reid, who is sampled on “One Dance.” The montage was released shortly before Drake announced Views was the first album to be streamed 1 billion times on Apple Music.
