After all seven seasons of Tina Fey‘s hit show 30 Rock were moved from Netflix to Hulu at the beginning of the month, some viewers noticed a bizarre change in one of the episodes.

The episode in question is number thirteen of Season 3, titled “Goodbye, My Friend.” In the original version Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon heads to a doughnut shop where she meets Becca, a pregnant counter clerk (Phoebe Strole). Becca complains to Liz that some of the people she’s met while considering an adoption process “don’t even know who Chris Brown is.” To prove how hip she is, in true Liz Lemon fashion, the protagonist sings a bit of Brown’s hit song “With You.”

The Hollywood Reporter and some fans noticed that Becca no longer mentions Brown, and instead says “Ne-Yo” – which is obvious in no-so-subtly edited cut. The odd part is that there seems to be no real reasoning behind the decision, with Hulu, Fey and Strole refusing to return requests for comment. NBC has stayed silent on the issue so far as well.
