There has been a few conspiracy theories boiling after Migos premiered “Motorsport” featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse.
Joe Budden sparked theories that Nicki had no idea that Cardi was set to be featured on the track because the mixing and mastering of Cardi’s verse sounded different from the rest of the track. The Internet quickly hopped on the band wagon and began fueling the rumor especially because everyone had speculations that the emcees had beef. Once the Barbie caught wind of what was circulating, she took to Twitter to clear up how Cardi and Migos ended up on a track that was originally for her and Quavo.
I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said “ok let’s do it”. The end.

Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me

Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval.

These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio??

In the same conversation, she took a moment to highlight gender inequalities. But the point is, enough with the rumors! There was never no beef in the first place and “Motorsport” is out to prove it. It features two of the baddest chicks in the rap game, so enjoy it and stop trying to pit them against each other.
