9-1-1, What’s your emergency? Have you ever thought about an officer’s first reaction when hearing an emergency from a 9-1-1? Well, we’re about to get an idea. Angela Bassett, leader of the “Black Don’t Crack” movement, will star in an upcoming FOX series called 9-1-1.
Bassett is set to play as a police officer protecting her city. The series will follow the lives of police officers and first responders. The show will see the cops go through dangerous and sometimes ridiculous situations. However, being in the line of danger on a daily basis can take a toll on someone’s life and their mindset. The seeks to examine that aspect as well.
Not only is Angela starring in the show, she is co-executive producer too. The Black Panther star will work alongside Aisha Hinds, Peter Crause, Rockmond Dunbar, and Connie Britton. 9-1-1 is set to release January 2018.
