As reported by the New York Daily News, all the proceeds from the show go to The Fund for Public Housing, a 501c3 non-profit affiliated with the New York City Housing Authority.

The Fund for Public Housing was founded in 2015, and its mission is to raise money to create a better living environment for those who live in the projects.

Che, along with fellow comedians Michelle Wolf, Jeff Ross, and other yet to be confirmed guests will perform a crowd at Irving Plaza, during A Night for NYCHA with Michael Che and Friends on Jan. 11.

“A lot of residents don’t have heat this winter,” Michael Che wrote in a story on Instagram. “Some insane stat, like 80% had outages, and this money could really help. I grew up in a building like that, and it’s really tough.”

Tickets for the event at 1 p.m. Friday on the Live Nation website, with standing room passes costing $65 and VIP seating going for $150.
