Just a few weeks after getting deeper into fashion design with his Honor The Gift collection for Holiday 2018, Russell Westbrook gets back to delivering us fire kicks alongside Jordan Brand with his new signature shoe, dubbed officially as the Why Not Zer0.2.
Even though this is the OKC Thunder star’s approach at going for a “pure performance” silhouette — basically a shoe not solely based off being fly — the overall design is just as appealing as the on-court specs the shoe provides to its wearer. Key features includes a next-level “two-part” sole pieced together by a visible mid-foot plate, interesting label placement that’s relocated from the insole onto the outsole and side panel, and a wildly-creative “Future History” color-blocking effect seen throughout that was clearly inspired by Nike’s charity-driven “What The” releases — “Why Not” quite possibly being sort of an answer to the question. Overall, Russ is making sure that 2019 is another successful year for him on all levels.
