BMW I8 Concept Spyder

BMW looks toward the future with their BMW I8 Concept Spyder which happens to be a two-seat plug-in hybrid roadster. The BMW I8 Concept Spyder boast sports car performance but with fuel consumption you would normally expect from a small car. It’s powered up front by a 131-horsepower electric motor that sources its energy from a lithium-ion battery and is complemented with a turbocharged 223-horsepower petrol engine driving the rear wheels. The I8 Concept Spyder can travel 20 miles on electric power and requires two hours to charge. Hopefully this will be on display at the New York auto show.
