“The Class of 1990” Visits The Source

Most of us can agree, Hip Hop just isn’t ain’t what it used to be. In the Golden Era of the 1990s, Brand Nubian, X Clan, and other socially aware artists monopolized Hip Hop’s direction. This Sunday, both X Clan and Brand Nubian will bring that energy to SOB’s in NYC for a “Class of 1990” show. This monumental event will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Rodney King verdict, which sparked the LA riots.

It was only right for both groups to stop by The Source office to give an exclusive rundown of how both groups’ debut albums (X Clan’s “To The East Blackwards” and Brand Nubian’s “One For All”) influenced the game and still hold position as instruments projects in Hip Hop. If you want to feel the vibe live and direct, come by SOB’s on Sunday to check out the “Class Of 1990”.
