Today marked day six of the Torence “Lil Boosie” Hatch first degree murder trial. After calling 27 witnesses, the state rested their case. A short conversation with the judge and to what everyone thought was going to be defense attorney Jason Williams first witness, were the words, “The defense rest with the witnesses the state has put on.”
I courtroom gasped in amazement. The judge gave the jury the option to go home or wait for tomorrow to hear closing arguments. One juror replied, “It’s a lot to take in, we need to rest and hear it fresh in the morning.”
Closing arguments will begin Friday morning.
