The Platinum League Trading Cards are giving Hip-Hop fans more to collect than just music. Texas-based Green Media is the company responsible for this new product, proving the high-profile celebrity status of our own Hip-Hop artists. “The cards are kid-friendly, and if it’s going to be kid-friendly, I’m so thrilled about it,” says Ms. Wallace of the cards whose first series will include her son, the legendary Notorious B.I.G. “I am so enthused after hearing about it.”

Each pack of cards feature five artists and a sixth card where collectors can enter contests and win prizes. Available in more than 20,000 retail stores, these trading cards show the photo of the artist on one side and include background info, career highlights and a QRL code link to exclusive video content on the backside.

The first series, dubbed the “Self-Made” series, features The Notorious B.I.G., Scarface, E-40, and Trina, among others. “I’m grateful they called me to do it,” Scarface told thesource.com. “They actually used my likeness with my permission and compensated me for it. A lot of times people will use your everything and sell it and won’t cut you in. But they did everything right.”
