After talking to The Source about his current transition into the mainstream music scene and his upcoming Awesome EP, XV describes his ongoing work with super-producer Just Blaze. Vizzy says that he’s looking to bring back the classic Just Blaze sound of old on his debut album, The Kid With The Green Backpack, much like the production rap fans fell in love with when Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records reigned supreme.
The Kansas-reared emcee hopes to achieve a concept album that tells his story in a vane similar to what Just Blaze was able to create with Saigon on The Greatest Story Never Told. The Warner Bros signee also explains how the things that he andJust Blaze have in common, such as including a passion for video games and comic books, assits them in their collaborative efforts.
