Matt Cain has been a part of the San Francisco Giants franchise for eight seasons and currently is the longest-tenured Giant player. Through his time with the Giants, Cain has been through a lot from winning a World Series in 2010 to having to endure losing seasons. For Cain, Wednesday was definitely a high in his career as he pitched the first perfect game ever in San Francisco Giants history. Cain haunted the Houston Astros all night with his killer fastball. “I’ve never had that much excitement in every pitch, every swing,” said Cain. The 125 pitches Cain threw were the most ever in a perfect game. Cain was ecstatic after the game and knew it was a monumental moment in his career.
