Beginning this Thursday and ending on September 9th, the London Olympics Arts Festival will host nearly 12,000 events and performances across the country. With a budget of $86 million and 10 million free tickets, the festival is a “once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience to match the once-in-a-lifetime visit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to the U.K,” as described by Ruth Mackenzie, the director of the festival.

The BBC Radio 1 show is a highlight of the string of events, with an insane line up: Jay-Z, Rihanna, Elton John, Flo Rida, David Guetta, Tinie Tempah, Jack White and many more.
