The legendary hip-hop group Run-DMC surviving members Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels are set to perform at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas taking place on November 2nd through the 4th.
A contrary CNN report, following the death of Jam Master Jay, stated that, “The two surviving members of Run-DMC said they’ll never perform again under that name. The retirement announcement came at a press conference called to unveil the formation of a coalition of music industry artists and a fund intended to financially assist Mizell’s family.” Now reunited, Run-DMC is set to hit the stage once again.
The Fun Fun Fun Fest organizers plan to donate the proceeds of the concert to the deceased member, Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell, of Run-DMC’s foundation called the JMJ Foundation for Music.
