The $10 million lawsuit is now a thing of the past.
You may recall hearing about a certain lawsuit back in July involving a sample used without permission.
The case in question pertains to Mac Miller and Lord Finesse, and Mac’s usage of Finesse’s “Hip 2 Da Game” beat for his “Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza” mixtape. Lord Finesse wasn’t pleased that Mac used the beat for his mixtape without his authorization, and sued him for 10 million dollars.
It seemed that Mac wasn’t interested in settling the lawsuit, but according to records obtained by Hip Hop DX, it appears that the lawsuit was settled on December 6th.
