Lupe Fiasco Drops Tribute Song For 6-Month Old Shooting Victim, “Jonylah Forever”

Jonylah Chicago

On Monday night tragedy struck a family in Chicago while Jonylah Watkins, 6 months old, was having her diaper changed by her father in the passenger seat of his car.  The Jonylah was shot 5 times by bullets intended for her father, and passed away later that night, despite efforts to save her at a nearby hospital.  Sending local and international media into a deafening uproar, the sickening homicide has, not surprisingly, elicited a reaction from outspoken rapper/activist Lupe Fiasco, who has released a tribute song dedicated to the life cut short by warfare, which is the only term we can find to describe the state of Chicago crime.
