Peep Omarion’s new single.
MMG crooner Omarion, nicknamed Maybach O by his label boss Rick Ross, is ready to release his debut Maybach Music Group album Love & Other Drugs, and dropped off the first official single late last night. Produced by Young Frye, on “Paradise” we see O venturing slightly from the path he walked for most of 2012, using moody but rather upbeat production to push jams like “Let’s Talk” and “MIA” up the urban charts. Its a sensual track, complete with a chopped and screwed bass line that would make The-Dream proud, and a muffled drum pattern allowing Omarion to flex his vocal chords.
Love & Other Drugs doesn’t have a release date set, but with a consistent output of music ever since his somewhat controversial signing to Rick Ross’ label imprint, Omarion seems poised to make decent comeback from his last effort, Ollusion, which failed to sell more than 20,000 copies in its first week on the shelves. Check out the single below, let us know what you think.
