Frank Ocean is prepping his sophomore album, and he’s found inspiration in The Beatles and The Beach Boys.
Drawing inspiration from Stevie Wonder among others, Frank Ocean made channel ORANGE with the intent of pushing the margin with his debut album, much to the delight of critics and listeners alike. Now a Grammy Award and a RIAA gold certification later, Ocean is prepping his sophomore effort, and listening to a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles to inspire his creative process.
When I was making the first album there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies. It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it’s a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we’ll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can’t say much other than that.

He’s already admitted to being over 10 songs in on the project, and hopefully we’ll begin to get some music from it soon. If its anything like his debut, we’re in for more timeless music.
