Perfect timing.
In the midst of the USA’s chaos, Lil Wayne delivers the official video for “God Bless Amerika” off his recent album I am not a human being ll. Opening with a spoken word feel, Wayne stands in front of the American flag to start his verse. This is the same video where controversy surrounded the rapper for accidentally stepping on the flag.
Here, he addresses his country and its ways. In his town of New Orleans, surrounded by locals, Wayne expresses his frustrations and doubts. The video images show the struggle inside of America and how they differ from the America that’s supposed to be a very prosperous country.
Between several questionable lines, Wayne drops some thought-provoking lyrics.
