Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid was recently interviewed by celebrity personality Mikey The Movie Star, speaking on subjects such as what recent movies he’s starring in and an up coming movie starring Danny Trejo and Steven Segal. But what caught our attention? A new 2Pac movie.
The Pennsylvania street prophet states that he will be portraying the legendary Tupac Shakur in an upcoming film about Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight. In the video interview, when he was asked about the feature film he had this to say:
“We definitely have a budget, just waiting to find out when we shootin. I’m not on in on the producing of that, I’m just an actor in that…. I already got the script so when I hear it’s time to get busy then it’s time to get busy”
It is well known that Suge Knight wanted Tupac Shakur to sign with his Death Row label and pressured 2Pac to do so for sometime. It was not until Tupac was accused of the rape of Ayanna Jackson and faced a significant amount of jail time if convicted that Suge Knight bailed Tupac Shakur out of jail at a price of $1.4 million dollars in exchange for three albums to be recorded and distributed thru Knights label.
The Philidelphia King has recently attributed to the big screen in multiple films such as Mafia, Streets, Caged Animal, King of the Aveneue and Ex$spendable.
