Belly (1998)
This urban drama filled movie marks a milestone in hip-hop culture as Nas, and DMX make their first on screen debuts. Belly highlights the lives of Sincere (Nas) and Tommy (DMX), who were notorious drug dealers that eventually decided that they would leave the streets alone for the better.
The intense love chemistry between Sincere and Tionne (T-boz) was definitely a focal point throughout the movie, as their love is what kept balance throughout the chaos. In the scene below Sincere suggests to Tione that they should move to Africa, because she feels that is no longer safe for them to be in New York. Tionne eventually considers it. Tionne‘s character was the true definition of a ryde or die chick.
