Exclusive Interview: The Internet Tells Us Why They Feel Good & How They Got There

Well when you start working hopefully you still have that fridge of Vitamin Water.

Syd: (laughs) Yes, I do. I just got a big shipment. I’m so happy. Shout out to Vitamin Water and Smart Water.

You got that ill connect! On the other hand, I gotta ask Matt, how many Grape Hi-C punches you go through a day?

Matt: (laughs) I just drank one. I just drank a box. Grape juice that s**t man.

You should shout them out so they could hook you up like Syd has Vitamin Water on lock.

Matt: Yo, if I get that Hi-C Orange or Grape connect, it’s OVER.

It sounds like you’re crazy busy, really dedicated to your work. You’re going back to the studio already to work on some more music. When your guys aren’t working, what do you do in your spare time?

Matt: We’re studio rats. I’m a visual artist as well. I work on that in my spare time. I got ADD so it’s really hard to focus.

Do we see an art exhibit in the near future?

Matt: That’s the next wave. Art is way easier than music. I do art like I walk so it’s like that’s the inevitable. I’ll definitely do an art exhibit. I’m making it very tight. It’s not gonna be just get here quickly, look at the pictures, and get drunk. It’s actually, you wanna look at the art and stare at it. Hopefully I could get it going quickly. I would want it done by this time next year.

Last question, what main message or meaning do you want your new fans, old fans, or just the casual listeners to take away once they listen to the music?

Syd: Feel Good. (laughs)

Matt: I mean, if you really like the music, let people know. That’s the best way to get people to come to the show. When people listen to the music that they might not think other people know, they don’t wanna spread it. I think it’s cool that we have started to develop a buzz. The people that you let know may become bigger fans than you. You never know. This project is way more accessible than our first project. If you like it, spread it. That’s how we get more shows. That’s how we’re able to do more of what we want to do.

Syd: Don’t complain about the state of music unless you spread what you think is good music.

You can catch The Internet at the OFWGKTA Carnival on November 9th at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
