Even though Stalley is signed to MMG, his fusion of working class hustle and academic intellectual sets him apart from the other emcees on their roster. It isn’t that he doesn’t go to the clubs or Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and Wale don’t weave social commentary into their song; rather it is the fact that he has stuck to his roots. He still puts on for Ohio, his rhymes are still concerned about the plight of the working man, and his lyrics can go toe-to-toe with the best of them out right now.
Today, he released his latest video “Getting By”, shot in Paris. The track comes off of his Honest Cowboy mixtape, which might be one of the most under-appreciated tapes this year. It is a cool trip through out the City of Lights, while Stalley recites his lines about hustling and working hard. You can check it out below.
