We are only a day away from the release of Busta Rhymes’ and Q-Tip’s highly anticipated collaborative project, The Abstract & The Dragon. After successfully returning to the forefront of Hip Hop’s consciousness, with their fiery single “Thank You”, the pair has a firm grasp on everyone’s attention.
Today, the first leak from the mixtape dropped and it is as amazing as you are predicting. Named after the infamous Cowboy tandem, “Butch & Sundance”, the two shoot off rapid fire rhymes that will require multiple rewinds to fully appreciate. Surprisingly, the production isn’t Western themed, quite the opposite actually. It is a smooth bouncing track, that feels as if it would fit just as nicely on the dance floor, as it would in your jazz playlist.
If the rest of the album will follow suit, then it will be a great experience throughout. We can’t wait.
