Our Top 10 Best Rap Battles Of 2013

1. Illmaculate Vs. Bigg K

What: A major style clash.  Illmaculate is a vet. He is creative, thoughtful, out of the box intelligent. He’s beat many of the best and is capable of beating pretty much anyone who’s ever step foot in a rap battle.  Bigg K is a monster when he comes with it.  He’s a colossus that can’t be outdone when he’s at his best.

Why: Because both rappers gave career performances. Sometimes mutual respect can go a long way in a battle which seemed to be the case here.  Illmac did what people expected by bringing intelligent bars, and unique, ethereal angles. Bigg K had the opposite,  straightforward hard-hitting, visceral bars with the occasional twist.  This is a great example of why people spend hours watching this stuff.

Highlight: “That’s an ominous thought. My style is ungodly. Now you gotta ponder the quandary you got in boxing a combo of Ali and Rocky. This is honestly a body a homi homey I’m small, but you tiny beside me, I’m tall, when I hop on a pile of bodies that I leave behind me.” – Illmaculate 1st Round.

“I keep a level head in drama, you seem shook. I’m bi-polar- nice jab, mean hook.” Bigg K 2nd Round
