10. Marlo Vs. Shuffle T
What: The UK battle scene is no longer expendable, what happens during Don’t Flop battles now matters to the battle world at large and this battles serves as poof that the UK has its own battle talent. Marlo and Shuffle T had a few battles this year, some of them themed like this “bad bars battle.”
Why: Marlo and Shuffle T both as teammates and as competitors lend something new to the battle rap world and that’s not something you can say for very many new competitors. Watching bad bars might not sound like a great way to spend a lunch break but it turns out that one can be really smart about being stupid.
Highlight– “The roof ain’t my child. But I’ll raise it.”
