Serena Williams, the No. 1 seed and the favorite to win almost any tourney she enters, lost in the 4th Round at the Australian Open to Ana Ivanovic.
Serena dominated Ivanovic in four prior matches, never allowing Ivanovic to win a set against her but this time around in Melbourne, she struggled and Ivanovic capitalized off the mishaps.
For Serena, it’s a tough loss, but one that she went through a year ago only to have one of the most successful seasons of her incredible career.
