James Blake recreates Kendrick Lamar’s “M.A.A.D. City”
While on a flight back to his hometown for his second residency show, London native and electronic music producer James Blake surprised his fans with new music that he’s been working hard on. Among the new music shared with fans was a remix – excuse me, harmonimix of “m.A.A.d. city” by Compton’s self-proclaimed good kid Kendrick Lamar.
Taking a more subtle approach, Blake remakes what was initially a hard-hitting, high-energy track into a more sluggish and mellow tune.
