Jeter became the first in New York Yankees history to reach the milestone of 3,000 hits. David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays was on the mound, and Jeter hit a long home run into the left field stands to become the first in Yankee and 28th player in MLB history to reach 3,000 hits.
