Washington, D.C’s reporter, quits on air in disagreement with the network’s enforcement of Russia’s President Putin military intervention in Crimea.
In many cases, we find ourselves in certain situations, having to choose between right or wrong and remaining true to that decision. ‘Russia Today’ , now former anchor, Liz Wahl resigns from her position on air with her supporting statement,
“And that is why personally, I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin…”
During her statement, she expresses the ethical and moral challenges she faces due to the fact that her background is built off of Hungarian refugees who fled from Soviet compulsion in 1956, a father who is a veteran and a partner who works in the military.
