Soledad O’Brien
María de la Soledad Teresa O’Brien is a product of two immigrants who met at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. From a local network affiliate to CNN, the Cuban-Irish journalist worked her way up to the big leagues and is currently busy with her own media network and working with Bryant Gumbel on Real Sports for HBO. She’s an inspiration to aspiring female broadcast journalists everywhere.
