Harlem’s Own, Allen York: “I’m Ready”

Allen YorkAllen York says he’s ready.

Allen York, known to friends and fans as “Yorkie,” proves he’s ready to run with the rap game’s big dogs.

The Harlem bred hip hop artist’s “I’m Ready” track features a mellow, nostalgic beat, reminiscent of the old school sounds, while York’s precisely delivered bars are heavy on the lyricism that New York is known for.

“I’m Ready” is the third single from his No Barcode EP.  It’s the second installment of his “12 Step Program,” in which he drops new visuals on the 12th of each month.

  1. Yo, if you didn’t already know, now you do. Allen York delivers time and time again, restoring what rap was all about and what has now been forgotten by most of the mainstream artists. This fella has been doing his thing since grade school and never gave up, never will either. He’s got talent, intelligence, and the will to pursue the goal. If he was just like everyone else, I wouldn’t be here putting in my word, but he isn’t; you can feel the soul in his lyrics. He’s not just here for the paper, he’s got something to prove. Something to live for; Music.
