Last on our list of women you didn’t know that are Irish is Jennifer Beals. This actress has everybody fooled including me when she first got started as far as her race went. She is in fact Irish descent from her mother’s side and wait for it….African American descent. This Flashdance star made it known that she is in fact of biracial and that she faced adversity because of it but in true fashion it didn’t get her down. After Flashdance, she starred in the hit Showtime show, The L Word and is currently gearing up for a new show, Proof that will be airing on TNT.
