Young or old, everyone remembers when the G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan stepped off the court and onto the baseball field in 1994 to play for the minor league “Birmingham Barons.” To pay homage to that special time in his life, this weekend we get two new colorways of both the Air Jordan 1 & the Air Jordan 9, in a smooth grey, black & white color scheme. The Air Jordan 9 “Barons” have that extra “umph” with a 45 on the back where Mike’s signature 23 normally lies, representing the number he played in while he took a break from shooting hoops. Nike goes even harder with the clothing for the kicks, releasing baseball jerseys and other key pieces that would be a perfect fit for both pairs.
