Bryce Clyde Jenkins plays Travis Younger.
Tell us about your character.
I play Travis Younger. He has his own dream that his mother helped him with, just like any other kid. Having a house, having a yard to go play in and doing fun things but along the way he is kind of sheltered by his parents and by his family and he doesn’t know about this time period almost.
Speak about your preparation.
It was difficult, a lot of late night hours, a lot of work, but as long as you work hard and prepare you’ll be ready and that is not just in acting but in anything.
What has it been like working with Denzel Washington?
He’s a great guy. Me and him have developed such a great relationship. He’s easy to get along with and he’s a great actor. I mean you can feed off his energy. He’s such an inspiration. Words can’t describe how amazing he is.
Where did your passion for theater come from?
Well, this is my first theater play. I’ve done acting before but this was my first theater gig. My dad was the one who planted that seed in me. He’s an actor and he’s been doing it for a long time. He’s actually working on his current film, ‘OTG: Of The Grid’ . He has been such big influence on my life. He pushed towards this path.
