The First Pick In The 2014 NFL Draft Is…

NCAA Football: Missouri at South Carolina

Draft Day, Johnny Manziel Jadeveon Clowney

For the first time in quite some time, no one knew who the first pick was going to be prior to draft day. Will the Houston Texans–who finished with a 2-14 record last season– play it safe and take the consensus #1 pick, Jadeveon Clowney, the vicious defensive stalwart from South Carolina? Or will they buy into the hype (and the Pro Day results), and pick up Johnny Manziel, better known as Johnny Football, also known as OVO Manziel.

We now have the answer.

With the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, The Houston Texans picked Clowney, one of the highest rated Defensive Ends to ever come out of the NCAA.  Remember the last time the Texans picked a Defensive Lineman number 1? He turned out to be pretty good, a guy by the name of Mario Williams.

Will Clowney be able to help the Texans avoid another tragic season? We shall see.
